Unitasker Wednesday: Drink-O-Matic

Drink-O-MaticAre you looking for a unitasker gift for the person who has everything? If you browse Sharper Image’s website in their section for Office Electronics and Gadgets, you’ll be blown away by all the unitasker possibilities!

I was most intrigued by the Drink-O-Matic 10-can dispensing machine. Yeah, that’s right, this thing can hold almost a complete 12-pack of your recipient’s favorite beverage.

Does your gift recipient enjoy road trips? Well, he or she can take the Drink-O-Matic with him because it plugs into a dashboard socket with an included DC adapter. With a size of 25 1/2″ x 16 1/2″ x 9″ and weighing in empty at 18 lbs., convenience has never been so miserable to lug around. Your gift recipient may have a mini-fridge already, but I bet it isn’t as heavy and impractical as the Drink-O-Matic!

**Unitasker Wednesday posts humorously poke fun at the single-use items that manage to find their way into our homes.

Well with the gift-giving season just round the corner, what are y’all waiting for?

Add to this the fact that the machine stores products that clutter your body with chemicals and sugars… Help your friends, family, and self avoid canned drinks like soda and beer! How about a glass of water instead?

Hey! What’s wrong with beer? I wouldn’t advocated it’s use w/ this machine (especially in the car), but c’mon now…beer is good and it’s natural!

An interesting alternative would be the USBwine. See http://www.usbwine.com
The video is in French but self-explanatory!

I usually duct tape cans of Diet Coke to my hands on long road trips (thus my nickname, “Edward CokeHands”), but now those days are numbered!

*sigh* I have this device. Got it from my boyfriend a couple of birthdays ago. Mostly because I was buying coke and sparkling water every day from the expensive deli.

Yes, I could just have a little refrigerator, but I think he liked the idea of me getting my fizzy drinks from a cute faux-coke-machine device.

Of course, now the power supply has burned out and it just sits in my office, currently full of room-temperature fresca, waiting for me to get a new brick for it. I suppose that would make it extra clutterific, wouldn’t it.

Wow Ryan, You had yours for two years!! I bought one and it lasted six months, can’t get it repaired, lost the receipt so I can’t take it back. Anybody know how to chill twelve cans of drink without a fridge?

You can go to smartplanet.net and click on kitchen innovations and then you go to contact and then it lets you send an email to [email protected]. You then give them you address, name and ask them for a new power cord. Worked for me like 5 months ago when mine broke. Hope This Helps
