I think it was likely Zen habits that I found it, too.
I went from being single and fitting everything I owned in my car to living in a flat with all of my husband's house-full of stuff. I don't think I ever quite managed it all since then - it's only ever gotten worse, with hobbies and children. I've regularly had fantasies about setting fire to the house - quite seriously, wondering how I could get away with actually torching the lot, that's how trapped I feel by it all.
I've always enjoyed Erin's site, though I don't always agree with her - of course she'd be the first to say that it's not one-size-fits-all, I like the way she presents ideas without being smug or superior about it. There's always something interesting. I enjoy good design and love the 'workspace of the week' and some of the nice organizing solutions.
I'm so glad she started the forum - I find comments are often 'drive by' - you don't always get a proper conversation - while forum people tend to be more regular.
Sophie, beware of baby STUFF and keepsakes - I'm still unloading things like huge, beautiful storybooks that were never read (we loved small ones we could actually hold). Encourage people to give things that are functional.
I've given up the 'once and for all' idea in favor of accepting that, like everything else in life, it's an ongoing process. I try to keep the bedroom and lounge uncluttered as a priority, so there are some calm spaces in the house.
