fridge cleaning, inventory and meal planning. done
taking library and donation books to library.
financial session to tame bureaucracy chaos (le sigh).
continue with walk-in closet; still have some boxes to organize as well as wrapping papers to look through and consolidate into mailing tubes.
oh well, I cleaned the coffee maker and three oven trays as well as the grid piece. hubby cooked the other day and gasped when a french fry had fallen down on the bottom of the oven, didn't remove it but had just placed on top of it the thin tray we usually keep there as a splatter guard. so when i removed the splatter tray yesterday, i found the burnt remains of a frenchie there.
what is the logic of it? he displays so many situations of such behaviour i'm at a loss at understanding him/men(?). my dad can be equally irrational at times albeit nowhere near as often. besides cleaning the loose parts, i therefore also wiped the bottom of the oven and the inside of the "door". it needs a thorough cleaning, though, and since the kitchen half-yearly is coming up in may only, i'm definitely sorting the grime before that.
you know what? i still feel good about the weekend because i had my first real sewing session on sundays! realised during my fabrics organising the other week that something has to be done about the growing stash and so i chose a pattern for a quilt of my very own. it wasn't even difficult, had to get only a couple more fabrics to fit the colour scheme! *rolls her eyes* i became a fabric nerd without even noticing... anyway, cut half of them up yesterday and will continue this evening. FUN!!!
