I had a 3-pc trouser suit made by a local designer and love it--the trousers I have worn only once more but the jacket and top I have worn over and over. They are perfect for formal dinners and theatre/opera but I have also worn the top with jeans and flipflops. And they're washable! Heart!

A friend got married in Vegas and she rented her dress--it was gorgeous, and she had zero hassle and never had to worry about it again. I found the idea a bit shocking at the time, but the more I thought about it the more I liked it!

I Ordered the Maggie Sottero Vivien Dress. Compared to the original in the shop there are 2 differences 1 teh material is different but if you order the swatch first you will see what the material is like and 2 on the original there were tiny diamontes on the loops at the back, they are not on this but other than that it is perfect. I absolutely love it and those 2 slight differences didn't make any difference to me. Can't wait for the big day now!!!. I would definately recommend this site and i am going to order my bridesmaids dresses from it too.

My dress from 41 years ago I wore for years after till it literally wore out--it was just a nice, ivory-colored dress. I had a rather minimalist wedding--just our immediate families out for dinner in a private room following a ceremony of brevity in my mom's living room. This was compromise on my part to appease husband-to-be. I wanted the justice of the peace's office. Believe me, people were not sure what to make of this as everyone before me in the family did at least a party and long, white dress with veil. The marriage endures: it's not a function of how much money you spend and how much fuss. Dressess are just cloth.

I got married in jeans and a tee. Don't regret it. If I and my partner did ever get married, She'd probably be the one in the fluffy dress and I'd be in - a kilt, or something suitably audacious :)
