I am blind and have a massive collection of clothes, shoes, and jewelry. I am working on downsizing but need suggestions on how to organize these items. I am also trying to figure out how to label each of these items so that I know which items are which colors. I do not want to sew braille tags into each item, as I do not like to sew. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I might store/label my jewelry, shoes, and clotheing?

Teiltom, I've heard of blind folks labeling their clothing not with braille tags, but with safety pins. They set up their own code of pin arrangement to let them know what color they've got in front of them.
Like, no pins for white, two for black, four in a row for blue, two on top and two below means brown--that sort of system. I guess the pins can go where they won't be irritating when worn.
Just an idea I heard about a long time ago, don't know where.
As for shoes, if you kept the original boxes, you might be able to arrange the boxes (or buy some cheap plastic ones from a store) by color.
Ahha! I found a webpage that reviews color identifier gadgets! Here is the URL:

The system I've encountered is to sew different shaped buttons to the washing instruction tags. They are produced by the Royal National Institute for the Blind and they're not that expensive. I expect there's something similar available in the USA.

Just recently I saw an episode of 'undercover millionaire' and she was a blind business woman. She said she couldn't live without her little machine that told her the colour of clothing. The episode was quite interesting. It's the English version.
