Today I found this article on cooking and eating the Indian way. I don't think I could do what the author does because I don't have street vendors eager to sell me bread, two slices at a time. Still, it's an interesting counterpoint to practices in the developed world.

I keep bread, rolls and nacho chips in the freezer. They don't go stale or moldy and I can take them out a little at a time. I have done better with less in my cupboards and fridge since I've moved, but part of that is the grocery store is now 5 minutes away instead of 30, so running over to get something I need is so much easier.
