I tend to use mine more in the winter at home - some for warmth and others as accent colours. The Pashmina shawls tend to be used for warmth or colour over jackets and coats. I always take a couple in suitable colours when I go on holiday - they are easy and light to pack and give you something around your shoulders and arms if there is a chill in the air in the evening in summer and can be worn around the neck to keep you warm there in winter. Having a few different colours allows me to ring the changes on different trips with different outfits.
I own a few and am decluttering them, but I have some really lovely ones which I will keep for many years so wanted to store and look after them. I am a great believer in buying some good quality items and using them a lot over the years - then you can buy some cheaper bits and pieces to update your wardrobe that can be discarded when no longer enjoyed.
