@ Vivace - I wasn't really posting a "problem" to solve, just wanting to hear from other people who've used this particular tool and learn from their experiences. I can't remember how I ran across Springpad--it wasn't in the ad currently on Unclutterer ;-) but in a reference somewhere else in my surfing--but I did do a bit of googling for reviews before giving it a try. I've heard of Evernote, and wondered how that in particular compared, so if anyone's used both, I'd be curious to hear comparisons. In the end, I decided to start with Springpad because the reviews I read were strongly positive, at least a couple said they thought it was better than Evernote, and, frankly, because I could create an account via my already-existing Google account. ;-)
@ jeffjaner - O.K., factoring in your vested interest in the subject :-D I nevertheless appreciate knowing that you are, indeed, working on getting data backup in place. Offline access will also come in handy for those times when the internet connection "blips," though on the whole I'm pretty lucky with the quality of my internet access.
BTW, I don't have internet subscribed on my cell phone, so that's not an issue for me, though of course it is for many other people.
And as long as I have your attention, Jeff, I will mention that personally I'm finding the Notebook app to be the one I use the most. It seems to be the most flexible and customizable, and I'm preferring it to some of the "pre-fab" apps for specific purposes. May I also suggest adding some kind of flexible, customizable spreadsheet to the objects we can add to our apps (like notes, lists, etc.)? Some apps have a "grid" in them, but it seems kind of limited, even in simple things like ability to adjust column widths, and I don't see "grid" on the options for adding to the toolbars.
Anyway, if anyone else has ideas, experience, comparisons, etc., to offer, I'm still interested in reading them. This really is an open-ended subject, no "right" or "wrong" answers involved!
