I must admit that i too came to this website via the tag "hoarding" about a year and a half ago. I am one of those people who has stuff stored for just in case and though those "just in case" situations are infrequent, they happen enough times to become a re-enforcement to that tendency. My DH hoards too for this reason, but mostly because he does not wish to spend any time deciding whether something should be discarded or not, so he keeps it to be on the safe side.
