New poster here. :-)
I've been on an unclutter frenzy the last few days. My closet now has room for me to find things, and Goodwill is getting three huge boxes. It's a breath of fresh air to open the door and see SPACE. Gone are the unused purses, totes, an old suitcase, and clothes I've not worn since I moved 1200 miles 15 months ago.
I dumped everything out of my dresser as well, you know it's time when the drawers are so stuffed they won't close. Now I have an EMPTY one. Gone are all the single socks, ratty undies, and holey (holy?) stained t-shirts. The best part was clearing off the top where I tend to toss my jewelry (not that I wear a lot, or often, but). I found a little ceramic box hidden under the junk, and inside was a necklace and pendant I thought I had lost. Happiness.
Today the bathroom and linen closet were attacked, and I realized I don't need to buy shampoo or razors for about a year. Or floss, or nail files, or or or...
The front closet and bookcase in my living room were tonight's projects, and they are both tidier, with yet another box for Goodwill stacked at the door.
Office, kitchen, and spare room are still to come.
