Help me get rid of the expensive hand-embroidered baby dresses that my mother bought for me when I was a baby, saved for years, and gave to me when I had my daughter.
I think I used them once or twice. They're gorgeous, but a lot of work to iron. My daughter spend most of her time in onesies.
They've been sitting up in a closet for twenty-plus years and I can't imagine my daughter (unmarried, about to start another MA program) wanting them. She isn't strong on ironing.
It's not so much the sentiment (thought that's there) but the work that went into the hand embroidery. How can I just drop them off at Goodwill? They're history!
