Periodically I have to get my kitchen scissors because I cannot find my office general purpose scissors at my desk. I do not like to keep them on the desk in an organizer due to my younger kids. They love to cut a piece of paper to beyond recognition and I live with confetti clogging up the vacuum for a month.
Yesterday I was on a clean kick which was random. One of the things I cleaned was my only desk drawer.
My desk drawer is about 18 deep, 6 high, and 10 inches wide. How much can this drawer hold? TOO MUCH! I spent at least a 1/2 hour. Littered with random receipts I failed to move to their spot, sticky notes with passwords or someone's contact information, office supplies, few ads of stuff I wanted to buy but never did, notebook paper of a project I do on and off.
And FOUR pairs of scissors. One is pinking sheers (huh- why is not that back with sewing supplies?). Why so many? To me scissors are socks. They seem to go to that never to be seen again place and party. And what do you do buy more!
My mother laughed when I told her this story. Every year she buys scissors - for the kitchen, their bar space, and office.
Anyone else out there?
