I just scheduled a pick-up with the Veterans (www.vva.org). I have a bag of clothes, books, and miscellaneous items to be picked up and cannot wait for it to leave!
Do any of you have any last minute inspirational advice for a few items I have been hesitating to get rid of? Usually on the day of a pick-up I find two or three random items to throw in the bag right before I put it outside.

If it doesn't....let it go :)
You might as well get rid of it now. Once Congress gets finished with us, we are going to lose everything anyway.

Our government is threatening to Veteran's benefits! Right now, Veteran joblessness is at 13%, which is much higher than the national average of 9%. Vet homelessness is climbing again! 13% of homeless vets are women.

Ok, so an update: I put the bag outside today to be picked up and before I left for work I added two more CDs to it. I was having trouble deciding whether to get rid of them and used the: "How will you feel once these are gone?" approach. That worked like a charm! Usually once I put an item in that bag I feel relief that it will be leaving my apartment. It worked in this case as well!
