very cool ideas for retro kitchens...my canisters don't have any labels yet...
thanks, EraserGirl!
They're cute, but if I organized my storage like this, they'd only make me want to go out and buy fresh containers so I could put these stickers on them and make everything look the same, meaning: spend more money. And then I'd of course be putting the canisters out on the countertops for show, and that's not my decorating style.
Seems like something that would be on Martha Stewart's site as a free download!
The basics that I keep in the kitchen I just keep in their original containers within Ziplok bags. A small bag of flour (I don't bake very often at all, but sometimes you need just a bit), bag of sugar or Splenda, cornstarch for thickening stuff--all are fine in Ziploks and kept in a cupboard.
Only storage boxes I've labeled are the shoebox type that have the slip-in label holder in the front. I use a few of those to organize stationery supplies.
i am actually not that kind of decorator either..but i seriously like LOOKING. 8)
Okay, I'll admit I love the idea of repurposing an old breadbox for holding Kitchenaid accessories. And the labels are a lot nicer than the ones from my little Brother label maker! (It was free with the crosscut shredder.)
