A while ago I convinced my wife to throw out our big, old, bulky, ugly couch since we didn't have room for it in our tiny one bedroom apartment.
It was great at first, we have so much more space now! But now we can't sit together and cuddle when we're watching a movie. :(
Does anyone know where I can get a nice, small love-seat or something that comfortably seats 2 and isn't too expensive? (preferably under $300)
IKEA has plenty of slimline sofas, but i am not too sure on prices.
i bet if you picked out a model you liked and then looked around craigslist...you'd see it sooner or later.

I acquired a couch for free through Freecycle and another for $10 from an elderly lady who was downsizing. We needed two couches to set up the Teen Haven in the basement.

They make apartment sized sofas, too. Mine is long enough for me to lay down on, but just barely. (I'm 5'6".) I got mine new for $350. It's a line called American Signature, and locally it's sold through a store called Value City. It's clearly not any plushy top of the line model, but it's cute and comfy and a pretty reasonable price. You've probably got some kind of wholesale/discount furniture store near you as well. If you watch the sales, or check out their clearance sections, you should find something fun for a good price. Sometimes warehouse clubs like Sam's Club or CostCo have furniture as well if you have already have a membership. (Or a friend with one!) Also, lots of Goodwill/Salvation Army stores carry furniture that was donated. I've seen lovely things for as little as $50.

A word of caution about used furniture...
Beware of bedbugs if you live in an area where an outbreak has been reported. Check with your local health department.
