Hi there I am trying to organize my closets, and am having trouble finding places for off season clothing such as heavy jackets and sweaters. What solutions do people use?

First strategy: I've gotten rid of a lot of clothes. I can fit my entire wardrobe into one closet, one dresser, and one coat closet. And, yes, I live in a climate where the summers are hot and the winters are cold, so I have to have a full complement of types of clothes.
Second strategy: After the seasons change, I move out-of-season clothes to the less accessible side of the closet (after doing a last cleaning or laundering, so they don't get stored dirty). In the coat closet, I move the sack of hats, gloves, and scarves to a hook from their hook on the door to a hook in the back, and I shove the coats to the side. I put a floppy summer hat on the door hook and leave rain jackets and long-sleeved camp shirts in the more easily reachable area.
Third strategy: For every new or new-to-me item of clothing that comes into the house, I take out at least one piece, preferably two.
