My husband came home last week with a sauna he bought off Craigslist. I came home to find it in 5 or 6 different pieces plus the heater and the insulation in the middle of our finished basement He had totally emptied one of the organized basement storage area,(where the sauna will eventually be) also in the middle of the floor. He then proceeded to empty out the space under the stairs and the furnace room. I now have 3 rooms full of stuff in the middle of the basement. I love to declutter as much as the next person, but this is "basement stuff". I've already trashed /recycled a bunch and have a jeep full of stuff for Goodwill, but this is going to take awhile.... I don't enjoy decluttering as much when it's imposed on me as when I decide to do it myself! yah yah,I know I'll be happy when it's finished and tidy, but then the construction of the new bathroom/sauna starts...aye aye aye

my sympathies. decluttering is never much fun when it's imposed on us from outside (e.g. the MIL is coming ...)!
