Just joined--not sure about this. I don't blog but...
This uncluttering thing is enticing, freeing and much needed. Started really doing it about 1 1/2 yrs ago and it is opening space for air to come into my body and soul. Am not a hoarder, just a busy, busy person. Am watching Hoarders with my husband and I feel as if this show is liberating to so many who have been ashamed and hidden for so long. I think we are watching an emergence of a disorder which so many have to varying degrees.
I've started talking about hoarding at work and it's interesing to see the number of folks who want to talk about it. Makes ya wonder...

I think it's a universal realization for everyone that there is just LOTS OF STUFF EVERYWHERE. Even people who have really beautiful "organized" houses (even if they have a basement full of stuff they never use...whether or not it's well labeled). So even people who have their stuff under control organizationally probably can connect with the weird attachment we have with it...

Bought the book tonight--- I fancy myself undertaking this process and doing a "Julie & Julia" kind of thing. I won't begin any such project until after the new year but the idea of really getting it done makes me excited. I am really so over all the "stuff" and I see it brings my spirits down. I am not a disorganized person nor am I particularly messy so, I feel for those who are even more challenged. It's really about mental clutter and the choice for freeing my spirit.
