Ninakk, I completely agree with you. Something about the video - assuming all minimalists are THOSE minimalists I suppose - rubs me the wrong way and is insulting to those who consider themselves minimalists but are nothing like the "trendy" minimalists. As you said, there are different types of minimalists. I perceived the video as perpetuating the myth that all minimalists are that extreme, which I don't find helpful at all to enlightening people about how a simpler life can be beneficial.
