I am at the popint where I have done research on my books and itwould cost me more in time to organise them to sell. I checked a few ISBN numbers and the price I recieved was less than a dollar. So they are off to Goodwill.
I have put adds on Craigslsit for a massage table and my double bed as well as some designer plu size clothes some still witht the price tag on. I did get a reply for the bed from a woman who left an abusive relationship with three children, but I have not heard back from her as I would gladly give her my bed.
Since I am a bit overwhelmed I decided to give myself a little schedule for example one shelve of the bookcase which is a foot each I think ther eis 25 of them.
That way each shelve can be a success, if I wan tto do more that is a bonus. Starting at the front door breaking each room down into sections. That way I can manage to go through everything.
I have just moved in and I do not have furniture I do not want to go by storage units and drawers for things I no longer want. This way i will by just what I need.
You can see I am not typing well as I have the keyboard on my lap. So I am in need of a desk.
I just had my floors redone and put waht I did have on the balcony, now what I am doing is bringing each item and box back in and making sure I still want it.
Tomorrow I will continue to go through everything. I forgot I also have stopped newsletters and filling up my email with clutter.
I am deleted old folders and that feels good as well.

Moving house is overwhelming even if you didn't have any clutter. You're doing well, just keep tackling bits at a time :)

Thank you Lottielot for your support. It felt good to wake up to less STUFF.

I think small steps are the only way to go, for lasting results. And you're wise not to buy anything until you've worked through everything and really assess what's needed, if anything.
Cheers to less STUFF.

Hear hear!
I am slowly (at least one thing a day...) getting things organized around here and all the visible clutter is gone, now I'm down to the hidden clutter... closets, drawers, under-bed boxes... What I am really learning though is just not to buy stuff until this process is complete, then I can re-evaluate what I need... it's tough though, and I'm not much of a shopper to start with! I can't imagine how much of a challenge it must be for people who love to shop.
Also @unclutteredlife-- well done on the move and getting the time, space, and desire to go through a few more of your things, must feel great!

Good luck with the move... it is amazing how much you can get rid of... and when you turn around you realize there is still more to get rid of. It is a never ending cycle.

Funny Luxcat I was into my closets today as well and I had to stop as I was getting overwhelmed and thought of emjayjay letting go of one thing a day...is so doable.

Congratulations, it sounds like you have already accomplished a lot of work! I think the idea to put everything on the balcony to reevaluate it when it comes back inside is great. "Little by little" is always a good approach. Don't forget to take well-deserved breaks! :o)
