Don't know if any on these boards watch the HBO show "Hard Knocks". Basically, each year, HBO follows an NFL team for a month+ during their training camp. This year they focused on the NY Jets.
The Jets are trying to "educate" their starting quarterback - Mark Sanchez. He is 23 years old and a year graduated from University of Southern California. So, aside from being young, he has that whole SoCal mentality - laid back, flip flop type.
In one of the episodes, the QB's are in a meeting, preparing for the next week's game. The Offensive Coodinator asks the QB's to open to a certain page in their binders. You see all the QB's - papers neatly filed in their 3 ring binders - opening to the correct page - ready to work. And there is Sanchez, shuffling thru his papers.
He looks around - befuddled - asking "when did you all get binders?" His coach states what a great idea it is - organzing everthing in a binder - which can be found on a shelf in the supply room. We see Sanchez moping out of the meeting room - in search of his binder.
I found it interesting how, part of his education on being an NFL quarterback, was learning how to be organized, ready to work and conduct himself in a professional manner. And that his coach was all too willing to drive home the point!
BTW - I'm not a Jets' fan! GO EAGLES!
