I finally did it after a couple of years of thinking about it.
My basement was full of old paint cans, tools, big pieces of damp plywood, ancient window frames, chunks of cement and other stuff that the trash collectors won't take.
There was also heavy stuff out in the back yard that I couldn't dispose of in the trash.
Two guys spent a couple of hours and emptied out a whole room in the basement that was literally full of junk. They loaded the junk in the back yard in the back of their truck. I paid them and that was that!
The good feeling is still with me over a month later.
