It's getting on my nerves: they are flimsy and won't stay on the shelf. I used to store them in a drawer, but it's a waste of a drawer since it is deep and the sheets just lie at the bottom.
Any creative solutions?

Mine are also in an empty binder.

I store them in a spare expanding file I had laying around, along with all the other randoms school things that are kind of letter sized (index separator, report covers, etc...)

I put mine in a regular folder and then hold it all together with a clip. stores horizontally or vertically.

I store mine with a large binder clip, stand them up in my file cabinet clipped to a folder.

I buy them by the box, and keep the box flat on a shelf (along with reams of paper). I can reach in and slide out what I need, as needed. Extras or recoveries (when I've emptied an old binder and kept the sleeves, for instance) I handle the same way as Sky - binder clip in a file folder.

Here is Aust, our ones (at work) come in a skinny box, which you can tear our a window. Then you just slide them out (the box lies flat, like a paper sheet). Works ok. I think it's quicker and less fiddly than opening the binder (unless of course you are then storing the items in the binder, in which case it makes sense!)
My mum's a teacher, and she's banned them in her classrooms. Mainly cause they are slippery suckers, and the whole pile of papers can tumble easier. But she's also a greenie at heart (just not a full blown declutterer!)

I keep sleeves in the back of the binders. So, all I need to do when I need to put something in a sleeve, I grab the binder I need and the empty sleeves are already right there. :p

I keep mine in a clear document holder (like a folder but more of a box). It's easier to pull them out of a doc holder than a folder because I don't have to flip anything. I also keep other odd paper items, like graph paper and scrapbook paper, in there.

To minimize steps and storage, keep empty sleeves in an empty binder and/or a few extra sleeves at the back of ongoing binders.

I use the binder sleeves in my classroom all of the time. My seating charts are inside a set that I keep attached with a shower curtain ring. Each day I use a Vis-A-Vis marker to make notes and record daily grades on the fly.

I use an expanding file folder with accordian pleated side panels to keep any loose sleeves or any class sets of documents that stay in them.
