When we cleaned my parents' attic out last week, I found several boxes of my old shell collection from childhood. There are over 200 shells. I plan on weeding out this collection and storing the best and rare shells.
Yesterday I saw the pictures from Apartment Therapy on the Star Wars collection, so I will do the same for my favorite shells, then store the collection in a spare closet. I had thought of a shadow box for the favorites, but I really don't want that on my walls.
What is the best way for me to store this collection long-term?
I was thinking of getting a plastic box large enough for the shells that survive the decluttering, and just put a layer of bubble wrap down, put the heaviest shells in it, then another layer of bubble wrap and lighter shells, and so on. I thought of using a box made for Christmas ornaments, but not all shells will fit in the little sections.
Thanks!
