i received the best news of my life last night-my daughter,her husband and our 2 grandsons are moving back home to MI from WA this summer! The next month or so will be spent looking at my home through the eyes of a toddler. more decluttering and babyproofing!!! yay!!!!!! i know there's not a ton of stuff, but some of it is breakable, tearable etc. and I won't spend my days nagging them not to touch stuff like i had to do every single time we visited my parents house when my kiddos were little. i am on cloud nine, people!!! i almost had a ginormous points plus filled cocktail to celebrate, but i will need my energy to be chasing the kiddos around soon, and so i declined.

Irish....that is terrific news about your daughter and family moving back to MI. That move will make a huge difference in how close you can be to your grandkids. I'm sure you'll enjoy every minute of it!
Btw, I'm in (upper lower peninsula) MI too!

Congratulations, Irishbelle! Good thing you are already partly ready. I always dread the short visits of people with kids or dogs. This place is definately inhabited by child-free cat people.
Have a glorious time morphing the house into grandkid mode!

Hey thats really great Irishbell... and the idea to declutter you home for your grandkids is something unique and can help them the atmosphere where they can play eventually without any fear of wear and tear...:)
