Well, I have to say I'm with Sky - I'm older than my husband, and I had a child after 40, so I'll be coloring my hair for a while. I have a great colorist who uses a light glaze and then I get highlights (I was a natural blonde that has darkened with age). My dh is just beginning to go gray. My youngest child is now 7.
As for makeup, I love it! I don't wear much except for eye makeup, but I love different colors, liner, mascara, and lip gloss! I periodically pare down and clear out, but I seem to acquire more before long. I find I wear less now than when I was much younger.
I have incredibly dry skin on my body, and need to use special cleansers and oils/moisturizers on my body, while my face is now experiencing adult acne! It's awful - I take so much better care of my skin now and it looks worse than when I was a teen! :( Seeing the dermatologist (again) this week. Because my body skin is so dry, I use unscented products to avoid stinging/itching. I am now using prescription products on my face. Sigh. Getting old sucks - my birthday is tomorrow and my youngest wants to know why I keep having birthdays, but my "number" doesn't change (LOL - I'll be 39 again and for as long as I can get away with it!). Luckily, I have pretty good genes and look about 10 yrs younger than I am.
