Netleigh: My thoughts exactly! There is a LOT of play between a perfectly pristine environment (1) and junk piled up on the floor (2). I saw these pix as reflecting more of a MESSY scale than a CLUTTER scale. It's conceivable that the 1 is actually cluttered, if the stuff in the room is not needed, used or loved; the 3 or 4 could actually be uncluttered in a sense if all of the stuff piled around was needed and loved but just out of place.
So, using this scale, I would place myself as somewhere between a 1 and 2. In reality, on a scale of 1-10, I would probably estimate I would have started as a 5 (fairly average amount of clutter for an American, but almost all of it neatly stowed away out of sight) to probably a three, aiming just a little higher.
