Hi, Just thought I'd start up a thread for general chat amongst all you fellow Unclutterers, inspired by Ninakk's post for intense posting/chat on the 'Groan' thread. It would be lovely to hear what you are all up to, - tell us what you've been doing lately and how you are feeling. If you having a low day there are plenty of us here to cheer you up! By all means include any uncluttering woes or highs if you like. So, do join in, I've read from some of your posts that lots of you say you like to have a chat!

I slept too late but while waiting for my bagels to toast I cleared out a bunch of kitchen utensils I never use.
Rehearsal in our local women's chorus is at six on Sundays, and about this time every Sunday I seriously consider dropping out because six o'clock on Sunday is a perfect time for a nap or just chilling out -- rather than getting dressed and braving the cold. Yes, we've tried other times, but this is the one best for the most.
My little brown-headed parrot is currently taking a nap on my knee and I dare not move lest I disturb her. Spoiled rotten.

@needtocleanhouse -- I thought I posted this last week, but I either didn't or it got taken down . . . . for your new health regimen, did you see a naturapath or regular physician or homepathic person or what? I take it it's been working well for you?

Yes, mdfloyd, 6 o'clock on a Sunday is definitely a time for nestling in, here in the UK it's been pretty nippy out and drizzly with rain so I've not done much today, sounds like your parrot has the right idea though, how cute!

Hello good people. I have ben decluttering straight flr three days, since I work nights I am free from work on strange days so I choose to decluter some of those days. Today I cleaned my home, made foodboxes for the work week and decluttered one inch of papers in Physical form to Digital form (aka Scanning). I also decluttered a Bowl that I got from my wife. I like the bowl but I have others that are as good so there is no need to keed all. Now I own 3 dining platters and three soup bowls, thats it for eating on. There is no need to keep alot of stuff "in case of...".
I have a chest in the living room that I fill with stuff to bring own to my friends to see what they want when I go there every three weeks. Someone saw the livingroom and said that I don't own anything. That is false since I own many things and plan to loose way more in the future to come. I winder if I shall post some pictures when I get my camera back? Could be fun to see what people think about my home. People that are on the same page as me. That would be awesome, but would anybody read such a thread and post comments?Posted 3 months ago # -
Hansi: we certainly would! Who doesn't love a good before and after photo? :)
Posted 3 months ago # -
Hansi: I agree with lottielot, we'd love to see some pics! :)

Then it shall be so. I'm sorry to say I don't think I have any before photos but I was a "oh that will be great to have in the future collector". I will continue my uncluttering in the meantime until I get the camera back. Then everybody can see the unedited living of Hansi.

we love pictures!
here dawns day twelve of our raw vegan + no coffee/sugar/booze/gluten kick.
and i feel marvellous...after an initially trying two days, complete with caffeine withdrawal headaches.
i start the day with a cup of detox tea (my own herb blend) and a big green smoothie.
i have been having a blast trying out new raw things, reading vegan blogs, and eating as much fruit as i like.Posted 3 months ago # -
Bandicoot: I eat quite healthily, but just reading your post makes me long for a PIE! lol, glad you're enjoying it :)
Posted 3 months ago # -
@bandicoot - you may have said this in another thread, but are you planning on going raw/vegan long term? Or are you planning on adding in other foodstuffs again once the month is over? I have no advice either way - I'm just curious!

I have been trying to eat healthier...I don't think I could go vegan though. So glad you are doing well with it and good luck.

I am looking forward to taking my bath early this evening and curling up to read the "where are you from thread". Everyone has helped me so much and what questions I have had really became very interesting threads to read with so many different lifestyles and locations of everyone here.

What a lovely idea for a thread! Most other forums I participate in have some sort of "random thoughts" thread and I always appreciate it. But actually I haven't missed it on this forum - probably because we're all so extremely good on going off-topic in existing threads, which is one of the things I love about this place :) Anyway, here's the thread for everything that can't be squeezed into other threads, even with the most creative off-topic imagination.
I have had the most wonderfully lazy day, slept late, had breakfast at... well, I suppose I'm on San Francisco time in my head even though I'm physically in Stockholm. I will be seriously jetlagged at work tomorrow morning. As usual. Anyone else here who is a night person?
Posted 3 months ago # -
@ candy, I used to be a night-person, especially at uni when meeting essay deadlines! But since having two kids I need all the sleep I can get, althougth I don't go to bed as early as some people I know. Talking of which, it's gone midnight here in the UK, so Night All!

I've had a lovely week-end. Saturday was bridesmaids dress shopping for my friends wedding, and I really got along with all the other bridesmaids who are all roughly my age. It's been a while since I met a group of ladies I really enjoyed like that. Later in the evening hubby and I hung out at the pub with a friend of his and ended up getting home FAR too late after much nice chat and way too much beer and a dose of good music.
Today started slowly (give the above!) but Sundays are a day where my hubby and I usually get to hang out a bit together more than usual as he works 6 days a week fairly often. We went out to breakfast (sorry bandicoot, my choice was far from vegan, but your vegan-for-a-month idea perks my interest)... walked for miles at the beach, took an immensely long nap and now piddling about before dinner.... *sigh* too bad work comes tomorrow!

How fun! We have now been home from Hawaii for 4 days - and it has not been above 0F, and all the mornings are -20+ F (that's -30 for you Celsius folks). We had a lot of snow while we were gone and DH has been shovling it for good parts of every day. He was very worried about his greenhouse roof and that was the first thing he cleared of snow.

I was thinking of you this morning, pkilmain, and wondering how well the trip to Hawaii helped your SAD symptoms? I hope it gave you a big enough lift to last through till spring and sunshine!

Well, Ella, right now I'm still feeling pretty good, but I had a lot to get done when I got home so had to be out and about. We'll see how it goes. There is a lot more daylight here now, which helps as well.
