When I joined this discussion forum a short while ago, I think that I made an assumption that may not be true.
I assumed that people on this board subscribe to the idea of simple living, not consuming, and more natural lifestyles.
I may be wrong on most of that. Those three things seem to mean something different to different people, and to some they may be catch all phrases that make them groan and roll their eyes (understandable).
Am I wrong?
I feel that my comments and input may deviate from the real topic of decluttering.
Ultimately, though, if you practice a more simple life, with fewer "necessities", a less cluttered life will follow, I think.
As long as people continue to buy into the marketed life, there will be clutter and waste of time, money and purpose.
I will try to restrain myself to talking about clean closets and lack of junk drawers, uncluttered countertops, and letting go of nostalgic things. I am really excited by minimum levels of stuff, really.
So, which banners will you fall under----anti consumer, minimalist, natural life, simple living, none of these? I know that there are any number of forums that address each of those, but, "uncluttered" just caught my attention. I love to be uncluttered! I don't need anyone to tell me how to do it, but, I do like to hear about people's experience and to share my own.
My first priority is to make the stuff stop coming into my house and cluttering up my living space. THAT puts me under the banner of being an anti consumer.
How about you?
