I live in NY City and don't have a place to hold a "yard" sale. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do with household decorative items (little porcelain figurines, small music boxes (my mother always called these kinds of things "dust collectors" and I now see that she was right!)? I plan to retire on the opposite coast and don't want to take all this "stuff" with me! Thanks...

is there any thrift stores you can donate the stuff too around. That's what I would do.

Or Freecycle or Ebay (if they're things others would want)?

i would simply donate the whole lot to your favourite charity shop and be done with it.
selling stuff online is always more work than it seems!
if you have nothing else to do and you'd enjoy it, then sure, why not.
but to recoup money because you feel you ought to....i think it's a bad idea and it will feel like work.Posted 1 year ago # -
usually those kinds of items are worth a lot less than we think, and it is better to just donate it and be done with it.
