Just read this and thought it was hilarous! Maybe you'll get a good laugh out of it too:
Hyperbole and a Half: This is Why I'll Never be an Adult
Having said this, now let me get back to procrastinating some more *continues to surf the internet aimlessly* ;o) Have a nice Sunday, everyone!

I feel that is the epitome of me.Posted 1 year ago # -
This is me! Except instead of nachos it's a bowl of cereal.
Otherwise, exactly this.

That blogger is funny as heck. I loved her "new pain chart" post. (http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/02/boyfriend-doesnt-have-ebola-probably.html)
And I'm right there with the responsibility and guilt cycles. I may have them on a different level than most folks. I can manage the day-to-day stuff fairly well. It's forging ahead on the infrequent tasks and big projects that overwhelms me.

That whole blog is awesome. I just sent the address to a ton of people.
Also? I am way past my level of responsibility and only 1/3 of the family is here yet. I needed to see that :)

Yup, loved the new pain chart, too! I actually found her when she invented the Alot (here: The Alot is Better Than You at Everything) and cannot believe how funny she is and why oh why I didn't find her earlier.
I'm exactly like that in the "Adult" post too, that's probably why I think it's so funny :oD For me, it's not Nachos, it's vanilla pudding, and instead of the bank, it's The Quest Of Finally Taking All The Deposit Bottles Back, but other than that... yeah. I could relate most to that picture of "feeling self-congratulatory" with the washing machine (look at me, I threw dirty laundry in and pushed a button, and now I've accomplished something). I'm sometimes really really envious of people who have good daily routines in place, though I am much better than a few years ago :o)
