Workspace of the Week: Graphically designed

This week’s Workspace of the Week is 3tone’s Photoshop-inspired home office:

I chose this week’s office because of how it took common Ikea furniture and turned all the pieces into a personalized and organized space. Every object in this office has a home, a place where it belongs. Additionally, the office doesn’t look sterile or like it belongs in a scene from THX 1138. 3tone explains in the comments section on Flickr how the Photoshop toolbar was created on the front of the cabinet:

It’s an IKEA Billy bookshelf with a Billy Morebo glass door and a Photoshop tool palette vintage printed on a sticker vinyl and attachhed behind the glass

Thank you, 3tone, for your submission to our Flickr pool. You have a very nicely organized office.

Want to have your own workspace featured in Workspace of the Week? Submit a picture to the Unclutterer flickr pool. Check it out because we have a nice little community brewing there. Also, don’t forget that workspaces aren’t just desks. If you’re a cook, it’s a kitchen; if you’re a carpenter, it’s your workbench.

O.O organization. an office that HELPS you organize… and its so… clean… It’s… It’s amazing! Tears, tears of joy are spilling down my face. I need one of these! Why have I not found this before? This would totally help my “omg-it’s-due-tomorrow-and-I-can’t-find-it-anywhere” and my “honey-I-lost-the-printer-it-has-to-be-under-this-pile-of-stuff” problem!

So beautiful! I love all white and of course the apple products. Where did they get(or how) the photoshop print and how did it fit so perfectly, etc? I would love more info on creating something custom and cool like that

Love the streamlined simplicity of your space!

My favorite workspace is one I designed to double task. My laundry folding counter is now outfitted along the walls with all my gift wrap needs. Voila – a gift wrap center! After all – I never fold laundry & gift wrap at the same time.

Now if could only get my son to not use it as yet another lego surface!

Very Nice workspace!! It’s nice and vertical, drawing your eye upwards and can probably fit in any corner. I especially love the Billy bookcase…I have the same one (the wider version) and I put a printed fabric behind the glass doors…they’ve served me well for four years now!!

I love the funky orange TV, the old pencil sharpener and the camera as part of the decor.

On another note. Are there any plastic letter dividers sush as those seen on the shelves that are not total dust magnets? I can never get all the dust out of the crevices on those things.

Great clean design, personal touches, and pops of color – a great reference for my own work area I’m creating. Thanks @3tone! :)
