- Getting your child out the door in the morning, on time

- DIY project for transient items

We’ve implemented a new good morning routine for our Kindergartner and First Grader this year. The 1st grader was chronically tardy last year. So this year we play the same CD every morning of some up tempo songs, at the same time. They know that when the music starts it is time to get up and get dressed, that they better be getting dressed when “Walking on Sunshine” is playing, and they need to be going to the car when “Real Gone” is playing. So far, so good, with this new morning soundtrack we are a month into the year with no tardies!

That’s so funny! I spent a summer in Israel at an archeological dig, and they did the same thing to get us moving…at 5 a.m. Imagine Israeli marching songs in the open air over the loudspeaker, with all the hissing and popping of well-used vinyl albums. I actually liked the songs so much I bought a record of them before I came home.
Thanks for the memories…
