Unclutterer: Best of 2010
Now that we’re into the new year, let’s take a look at of our favorite Unclutterer posts of 2010:
- Unclutterer goes shopping with The New York Times — I never imagined I would be in The New York Times. It’s a year later and I’m still in disbelief.
- Can your stuff pass the red velvet rope test?
- Setting limits with a Super Simple Month — I’m hoping to do this again in February.
- Is the life you’re pursuing the life you want?
- Solving the mug clutter problem — I don’t know why, but I loved this post.
- Parting with sentimental clutter
- Stumped! — I loved all of the wonderful comments to this post.
- The roots of clutter — external, behavioral, and internal — I haven’t stopped thinking about this post and how I can apply it to my work.
And our favorite Unitasker Wednesday selection of 2010:
- Doughnut To-Go — This one still has me laughing!
Did you have a favorite? What was it and why?

The banana case was my fav unitasker. Also isn’t appearing in wired magazine (my fav mag) a best of 2010??

@gene — Appearing in Wired was AMAZING! But I thought it might seem a little, “They liked me! They really liked me!” if I put in more than one feature about myself. But, I agree, it was totally cool.

Hi, regarding the article “Stumped!” – when it comes to storing plastic bags, in our narrow hallway in our London flat we had a coatrack. Below that I had a good sized, very cute, vintage-inspired cheap bag that I loved and didn’t want to part with but found I wasn’t using much. So I kept it tucked very sweetly next to the coatrack to show it off, and in it I kept both supermarket bags and heavier/nicer department store bags. Very handy for when you’re sending guests home from a party with leftover drink and food or presents. Give them a nice bag from say Selfridges and at same time wrap anything dirty or that might leak in supermarket bag inside that. And all stored at place where guests are always standing when they say “oh do you have a bag i could use for this please”.
