It's "'flu season" here Down Under so if you're at a party, I can see the value in using chopsticks - a bit like using a toothpick for certain snack.

I laughed out loud when I saw this and then nearly spit out my drink when I scrolled down to the chopsticks... my husband ALWAYS eats cheetos with chopsticks. Seasoned almonds as well. To keep his fingers clean. :)

This one made me laugh! The makers of this unitasker had me in mind!! In my former life as a teacher, I used to wear gloves to clean the paint cups...because if the paint touched my hands, they would shrink. I'm sure of it. ;) I've been known to use a knife and fork with lots of "hold with your hands" foods...like pizza. When I do use my hands to handle food, napkins are always close by. I agree with Angela...this would be great for Cheetos. =)

This presupposes, of course, that the person snarfing chips will really only eat one at a time, rather than grabbing a bunch of them. And what happens when you get to the crumbly ones too small for this contraption to deal with? Is there a special mini vacuum you can somehow attach to your lips, then insert the hose into the crumblies and hoover them right into your mouth? If not, some genius should start working on it right away!

Also, chopsticks would be considered a multi-tasker, so WIN. Good idea, bad product.

I've eaten popcorn with chopsticks, but never thought to try it with chips. And I still wouldn't. As for the Potato Chip Finger, the only possible use that makes ANY sense (but still very little sense) is if you had lots of paper cuts on your hands, but were absolutely craving salty, greasy chips. Cotton gloves might be a better, less silly, option. :-)

Chopsticks are a great way to eat snacks while typing. It forces your hands to adopt a different position, and you slow down consumption (not to mention you don't get pieces of salt'n'vinegar kettle chips all over your keys).

One of the best things about eating messy salty snacks is licking your fingers at the end.

This reminds me of a habit I had while a kid: I used to eat buttered popcorn with a soup spoon. I'd be reading, you see, and I didn't want to get grease on my book.

@ValH
My first thought was that it could be used as a weight loss tool, too! Although chopsticks would work just as well for that purpose.
