Workspace of the Week: Green creativity

This week’s Workspace of the Week is Greg.Newman’s studio:

I chose this office because of its well-lit drafting table, minimalist computer desk, ample and appropriate storage, wall-mounted guitar, and inviting green walls. I think most anyone could work in this organized space. Greg.Newman added he still has a couple additions left to make:

Only thing left to do is find two framed paintings to hang above the cabinets and find out if I can find glass doors from Ikea to replace that ugly red.

Thank you, Greg, for submitting your fantastic space to our Flickr pool. Your office is inspiring.

Want to have your own workspace featured in Workspace of the Week? Submit a picture to the Unclutterer flickr pool. Check it out because we have a nice little community brewing there. Also, don’t forget that workspaces aren’t just desks. If you’re a cook, it’s a kitchen; if you’re a carpenter, it’s your workbench.

I like the red doors. It livens up the space and gives it some pop.

Those mobile utility carts between the desk and the drafting table and beside the window aren’t flattering. I’d suggest putting some wood grain contact paper on the drawers to make them fit in better and hide the contents of the drawers.

Oh, wait! This isn’t Apartment Therapy? :)

I second the red doors – I like them!

Thanks for posting this Erin!! I was shocked to see it in my reader this morning.

@boxty – I completely agree with the plastic carts. They are ugly and I’ll be replacing them one at a time as I find the perfect replacement. Looking for some rustic ones that will fit in with the woods that I have in the studio now.

Glad everyone likes the doors. I had thought about replacing with glass but so many people have told me how great they are I’ll keep them as they are.

A very inviting work space! I would make sure the artwork that you plan to add has some red in it. Maybe add a red vase or object on the opposite side of the room. This will unify the color scheme.

Great office. I, too, like the red and really like the overall color scheme, as well.
