Workspace of the Week: She’s crafty
This week’s Workspace of the Week is |_viviana_|’s quaint craft space:
This craft desk and shelving is wonderfully designed to contain |_viviana_|’s supplies in an organized and useful fashion. With the large work table, I can only imagine how great it is for projects large and small. The portable drawer storage is perfect for unsightly items, the task light appears to be extremely functional, and even the chair looks comfortable. Best of all, I think I love the button storage in the jars on the shelf. Sometimes supplies are worthy of being seen. Thank you, |_viviana_|, for sharing your inspiring craft workspace with us.

Also, don’t forget that workspaces aren’t just desks. If you’re a cook, it’s a kitchen; if you’re a carpenter, it’s your workbench.

I love the wall color (and the natural light) in this room. So cheerful!

I have a *closet* full of crafting supplies I was planning to clean out and organize (so I might actually start using them again). Thanks for the inspiration!

Very pretty! I like it!

Looks great…but I don’t see how that chair can be functional at all. Obviously it used to have wheels which have been removed (I’m assuming it is because the chair wouldn’t fit under the desk with the wheels). But dragging those metal legs back and forth on the wood floor? I think it’d be better to raise the height of the desk and put the wheels back on the chair…or get a different chair. Love the wall color.

I like this setup very much, and I’ll bet the chair has slidy feet on it now instead of castors.
Really love the beautiful worktop, and though I expect there are more supplies hidden away, having the majority of small things within arm’s reach can be sooooo helpful when involved in a project.
Nice one!

I have that exact same desktop I think. Eucalyptus looks great. I just need to put a clear coat over mine to get mine looking like that.
Looks like a great place to work in, with the natural sunlight and everything being in its place. Reminds me that I should get some pictures of my workspace up soon.
Good job with the space.

Wow! This space is incredibly inspiring to a ridiculously disorganized crafter like me. Thanks for posting this.

The space gives you a nice and calm vibe. The way things are displayed is not only beautiful, but is also seems practical. Being able to see where is what is pretty handy when you’re working with small objects.
Simply lovely and very inspiring.

Glass jars with lids just rock. They come in so many different sizes and styles plus you can get them super cheap at thrift stores (or just recycle ones you already have).
Nice space! Great wall color!

I love the desktop! Where did it come from? Did you put the legs on it yourself?

PLEASE tell me what color GREEN that wall is and what brand of paint!! Calming effect for sure.

This room is beautiful! I love the long table and what she’s done with the wooden drawers from Ikea.
I’ve been trying to organize my own sewing/craft area, an ongoing process. There’s stuff sitting on the back of my sewing and cutting tables and I always end up working around it, which is really stupid. Often used items should be within easy reach, like your jars and drawers, but not cluttering tabletops. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you Unclutterer.com for featuting my place, and thank you all for the comments.
The table and the chair are both from Ikea. The table is a dining room table. When I moved to this apartment the only place it would fit was the office/craft room. I love how it’s long (so you can have a lot of stuff all at once) and it’s also kind of narrow, so it doesn’t overcome the room.
The chair never had wheels, and I agree that it would have been perfect. I’ve glued some silicone things on the chair’s feet to it slides a bit nicer. I was stuck with the decision of buying a cute chair with wheels (often expensive), an ugly chair with wheels (cheap) and a cute chair with no wheels (kind of cheap). I went with the last one.
I’m not sure about the wall color, I’ll check and I’ll get back to you.
