When the “a year ago” posts came out, I thought they were a great example of clutter – why create a new post that just linked to an old one? When 2009 rolled around and we started seeing two years’ worth of past posts, I thought it was an even bigger waste of space, but I didn’t say anything. I told myself that when it was 2010, if we were now seeing three years of “a year ago” posts listed, I would write a comment. Here it is! I still think these are clutter posts, and besides this one I still skip right over them.

@Lola,

As a long time reader, these are all old news to you and I can appreciate you desire not to have them “cluttering” you web viewing experience.

However, I just recently discovered Unclutterer and these posts are an excellent way to bring older postings I missed to the forefront. Most of them are still extremely relevant and useful today and I enjoy having them brought to my attention.

Moreover, I expect that in the future, these posts will give me the opportunity to revisit their topics with fresh eyes. Something that might not have been relevant to my uncluttering activities two years ago might be extremely valuable knowledge for me today.
