And in less than a generation no one will be able to read a map. So when the power is out or you need to think (not google) where you are going, you won't be able to get around.

Think of all the design possibilities with cable clamps... I look at empty walls now and think of a contemporary piece of art... :)

Best,

That cable display is fantastic. But even so, I'll hold out for when wireless power starts becoming mainstream in a few years. I can be patient.

While I have been in cars with friends who have GPS devices, I would be rich if I had a nickel for every wrong turn we could have taken if we followed the directions given by the silly machine.

I still prefer the good old fashioned hard to fold maps. My hubby or a friend drives and I navigate. I like being able to see the "big picture" with a map. I make all sorts of notes on the map, such as, gas stations, restaurants-chains or independents, farm stands (for the way out in the boonies summer/early fall trips), antique shops, and more, depending on where we are and our interests at the time.

If you have a snazzy phone already, then the Google Navigation is a great thing. But, my husband and I use our cell phones minimally, so we just have pre-paid minutes on our un-fancy phones!

But, if we ever decide we need a cool phone, I look forward to trying Google's app.
