This is a bit belated, because I spent a number of days with the computer off so I could work on sorting through my paper clutter –the last frontier of clutter in my life!– but CONGRATULATIONS!!! You have a lot to be proud of, especially if you came from a chaotic clutterbug family background like I did. (Took me years to get over the maternally-trained habit of grabbing every free doodad just because “ooo, it’s free.” Yeah, but do I NEED it? Will I USE it? You know the drill.) I suggest that if you go on a book tour, you should get pictures of yourself in bookstores in every city you pass through.

Hi Erin -

My two copies (yes, two!) arrived yesterday and I had to laugh when I read your opening about the friend who wanted two ’cause one would get lost in all the mess. I actually ordered two inadvertently due to personal disorganization, but have no intention of doing a return. If I don’t lose one copy in the next month or so, the second make a wonderful Christmas gift!

I just wanted to say that I’ve just received the book in the post from Amazon UK. I’ve spent 10 minutes leafing through, and I am absolutely blown away by how straightforward and truly helpful it looks.

Got the worksheets last night and used the morning planner to replan my going to bed/getting up schedule. The house is already looking better..!

I really worried that in ordering this, I would be adding to my, err, substantial collection of uncluttering books. I don’t think I am. It looks really excellent (fresh, straightforward and practical) and I feel ready to dive in and actually put the advice in place.

Lastly can I just say I’m so glad you used to be messy? So much stuff is written by naturally organised people, but it makes a difference to know that people like me can actually change. Thanks again.
