Workspace of the Week: Picture perfect design
This week’s Workspace of the Week is JVOdesign’s home studio:
These pictures showcase an amazing space. They images say more than I ever could write about them. The only thing I want to add is that JVOdesign linked to her instructions for how to make the tack wall. Thank you for such a terrific submission, JVOdesign. I would love to work in this space.
Want to have your own workspace featured in Workspace of the Week? Submit a picture to the Unclutterer flickr pool. Check it out because we have a nice little community brewing there. Also, don’t forget that workspaces aren’t just desks. If you’re a cook, it’s a kitchen; if you’re a carpenter, it’s your workbench.

I love how modern this work space is. So neat, everything in its place. I’d really like to work in a space like this one. They hiring?

It feels a bit cold.

Very cool, modern design! I love the idea of a loft office — it’s private, yet open. Perfect!

Looks like an IKEA exhibition…

I like it a lot. I disagree that it looks cold and think instead that it looks clean, functional and professional while also being a bit hip. But that’s just me.

I love this space – I think it looks clear and modern. I visited the ourhaus website where “design marries technology and they buy a loft”- very informative and entertaining.

Very nice. Great use of space and color, with a hint of a mid-60s feel to it. You can tell that the user is a visual thinker, and the tack wall keeps those visual cues organized and appealing. Really nice work!

Clean, neat, organized but ugly. Agree with the Ikea look. Cheap and ugly.

What a clean, shiny, colorful space! Great design! Put an orchid on the desk and I would completely love it!

Love the tack wall – thinking of putting up in my son’s room.

Definitely needs plants.

I agree that the space is amazing, and it appears to be well done as far as functionality. But I gotta agree with the folks who are saying it looks like an Ikea room display. It really does. Still, I’d love to have an open, airy space like that!

I would love it if the walls were not white. I think the comment about it feeling “cold” might relate to that.

susan, when your book on interior design hits stores, do let me know, I’d love a signed copy. Be sure to share photos of your office here, too. I’m sure we’re all dying to see how great it is!
