I also sleep in a loft bed (a studio apartment was all I could afford in Sydney and lofts give some semblance of privacy). I have a Tromso bed and since my ceilings are 2.5 metres instead of Ikea's ideal of 3 metres, I ended up shortening the metal legs with a hacksaw sot hat I could comfortably sit up in bed. Will definitely be using that dual monitor hack for when I want to wow from bed ;) What an awesome solution! As for the closeness of the bed to the ceiling, it isn't really a problem anymore. I'd rather have more room at my desk where I spend much more time than in my bed where I am conscious only a fraction of the time. Not only is it surprising to find such a well-organized and designed college dorm, but the ingenuity of using DIY projects to furnish the room is also very inspiring. The only thing I would change is the height of the bed to the wall (just thinking that anyone sleeps in that space makes me uncomfortable). Excellent room.
