I think it's great! I'll never have to look for where the towel is. I have one and it looks fashionable and sexy on me, especially with the zipper partially open ;-)

My apron has "multipurpose" pockets (i.e. pockets), so I stuff one end of the towel into the pocket. It also means the towel is at waist height not by my knees.

Are you really sure it's not Wednesday?

I can't imagine cluttering my life with an apron in the first place. I never could figure out what place this holdover from my 1950s childhood could possibly have in my life today.

Ditto the others -- seems strange and useless to me, with the scratchy zipper, and only one towel [you'd have to do laundry every day to be able to use it]. I'm a cook, and at both home and work I tuck a towel under my apron strings -- much easier and much cheaper [since I can use whatever towel is available]. I love a lot of Uncommon Goods products, but I'll definitely pass on this one.

Also, just so people don't think I'm completely disgusting - I don't wipe food goo on my clothes...I rinse my hands off and wipe off the water ;D

I don't use an apron at all - dirty hands? My clothes are dirty already, by the time I get to doing dishes! - and I just wipe up the counters with a sponge and throw it in the dishwasher.

Personally I think it'd be easier just to tuck a dishtowel into your apron as others suggested, or the waistband of your pants. No messing with zipping and unzipping (inevitably, sooner or later you'll be unable to get it back on, or break it).

I have been noticing on TV that just about every cook just tucks a towel under the apron strings. I like my towel tossed over my shoulder.
I don't think I would like the zipper across my knees, and having to zip it up all the time would be a pain, and as another poster noted, one would need a couple of extra zipper sided towels--why buy more when you already have towels?
Isn't that just making your towel drawer more cluttered?

Seems pretty useless to me...I wipe my hands on my apron, and then use my dishtowel to clean up the counter...and since I don't have to unzip the dish towel from my apron to wipe up - I save a step too...

I think having a zipper to my dishtowel would make a scratchy party and that you wouldn't have tons of interchangeable dishtowel components like if you just loop your towel through a loop or tie, as I do.

If I wore an apron, I think I would really like this. I'm always searching around for where I dropped the dishtowel last. If it were attached to me, that would make it easy.

I think it's more about cleanup after cooking ... usually you don't use your apron to wipe off the counter. That's at least what I was thinking. It's an improvement to cleanup.

i just throw a dishtowel over my shoulder, or wipe my hands on the apron itself if need be. I fail to see what this accomplishes, unless you store your dishtowels far away from your kitchen, or cook far away from your sink.

I tend to just wipe my hands on the apron if I don't have a towel handy. If I do have a towel handy, I drape it over the apron string (I use aprons where the string is long enough to wrap it around me and tie in the front).

Maybe I'm just lazy.

Erin - thanks I saw this in RealSimple but I forgot about it, thanks for reminding me :)
