Workspace of the Week: A comfortable home office
This week’s Workspace of the Week is Patrix99′s office in black:
There are knick knacks and pictures and books and CDs, but everything has a home. This desk is an organized, functional space. The wireless mouse and keyboard help a great deal with keeping cable clutter to a minimum (it’s the same thing I do on my desk), and the chair looks mighty comfy. Thank you, Patrix99, for your submission to our flickr pool.
Want to have your own workspace featured in Workspace of the Week? Submit a picture to the Unclutterer flickr pool. Check it out because we have a nice little community brewing there. Also, don’t forget that workspaces aren’t just desks. If you’re a cook, it’s a kitchen; if you’re a carpenter, it’s your workbench.

Thanks for featuring my workspace. More photos can be found here. I have now lost the mousepad and placed a black deskpad from IKEA. The laptop on the right is also now on the keyboard tray below out of view making it more clutter-free.

I much prefer these types of workspaces over the ultraminimalist ones. Sure there’s tschotchkies, but they add personality and everything is in order and accessible.

Looks good
Looks a bit dark, but that could just be “mood lighting” for the photo. But particularly when I saw the second picture, I like how everything is laid out well and close at hand so you never have to go hunting for stuff

Tania, you’re right. It is just mood lighting for the photo. The window next to the desk provides ample natural light during the day and the ceiling fan lights can be switched on at night if need be.
Glad you liked it.
