They are laughing all the way to the bank! I’ve always hoped I would come up with a sort of “pet rock” idea that I could market just before Christmas and sell them in the stores, right by the register and all would buy for their funny, gag, have to have Christmas present and by the New Year it would be over, but i”d be laughing all the way to the bank! This is pretty close!

When I saw the picture, I thought those things had a computer inside of them which would randomize the outcome.
I can’t decide now if that would have been even more or less pointless.

By the way, Beverly, I think you don’t usually play the game for entertainment, but to decide something, kind of like throwing a coin.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha. (wipes eyes) Just when you thought you’ve heard everything, someone tsk tsks that we are mocking a PLASTIC NOVELTY as a unitasker. Yes, we ARE nit-pickers, and the nit we are picking is that this is a stupid plastic piece of useless garbage. If you want to enjoy some candy and play Rock/Paper/Scissors at the same time, buy some decent candy (chocolate) and use the multitaskers at the end of your arms to play the game.

@Lori, if someone invented that, my husband would have one in a heartbeat — he has a 90 minute commute each way every day, so you can imagine how tired his commentary finger is at the end of the day. This would solve that problem! LMAO

What a waste of plastic, my VERY ecologically minded daughter would say. Just how much energy did it need to create these hunks of junk, and just how much pollution was generated at the factory?

And then is the candy, pretty bland and tasteless. Have seen those little pellets before in other containers and my kids were so UNimpressed by the flavor!

Just another piece that once the “play factor” is over will wind up in the recycle bin…
or countless trash cans around the globe.

Sigh… another Unitasker post that obviates common sense and fun.

Yes at first glance it seems pointless and foolish but the product is marketed as “Rock Paper Scissors Novelty Candy”. That is a direct quote of the title of the Amazon page you yourself linked to.

It’s SUPPOSED to be a NOVELTY with the primary purpose of buying it for CANDY. It is not meant for adults to use seriously – it’s meant for kids to have fun.

Come on Unclutter… if you’re gonna continue doing Unitasker Wednesday, could you write up about some genuinely ludicrous stuff like gasoline powered toothpicks or Diamond corn on the cob end-forks? Picking on stuff that’s obviously not meant to be taken seriously just makes you nit-pickers.

It’s crazy silly all right. I just bought my daughter a rock-paper-scissors shirt from Snorg Tees so I have to laugh at more R-P-S being out there. She’s 7 so we can pass a lot of tie waiting with some rounds of this. But I think we’ll just stick with the multitaskers we’re already using, thanks!
