Someone gave me a three-tier baby food lazy susan. I don't use that much jarred food-- but it did perfectly accommodate my spice bottles, which means I no longer have to pull out every single bottle to find the curry powder. When we move, I'll have room for a more traditional spice rack, so I think I'll use the baby food organizer to hold bits and bobs in my sewing area. Still would cringe at paying $25 for one of these things, though.

To Another Deb:

"I am wistfully searching the internet for a pet food can organizer for Kitty’s teeny cans of Fancy Feast."

I HAVE ONE OF THOSE! LOL! I am TRYING SO HARD to figure out how I got it. I think my mom gave it to me, and I cannot find ANYTHING online like it. I'm going to try to figure out where it came from and get back to you. It is a lazy susan style and holds them very neatly.

Hey--a unitasker that I have!!! Bought this (in white) at a yard sale and yes, my five year old has it in her playroom full of beads. It's greatly, greatly coveted by her friends (who've suggested it as a small doll shoe holder). When I bought it, it was obvious that it had never been removed from the box...

I think the photo shows that it actually holds 12 so doesn't that make it so much more useful? (Not.)

Not only did we never use baby food, but we never even bothered to puree my daughter's food -- she liked to pick up chunks of soft-cooked carrots or potatoes and feed herself from a very, very early age. One time, her dad's cousin lovingly pureed some sweet potato for her and served it neatly and gracefully on a plate, and my daughter looked at it and didn't know what to do with it! LOL

No pre-packaged baby food = no full jars to store, and no empty jars to deal with afterward

I have three children and I've only purchased ONE jar of baby food ever. My children wanted breastmilk almost exclusively their first year and weren't even interested in solid food until they could pick it up and feed themselves. I did have a baby food grinder, but I didn't even use that very much.

I can actually come up with a useful purpose for this stand. I do not have children but I get baby food jars from others to use for small crafting supplies. This stand would let me see the supplies better than dropping the jars in a drawer. Shelves are reserved for binders and rubber stamps.

would never buy it but if you are the kind that stores things in baby food jars, like craft supplies or screws this might not be that bad.
