And the winners of the disinfecting wipes are …
Thank you to EVERYONE (all 1,017 of you!) who participated in the Clorox Disinfecting Wipes giveaway. We never expected so many entries!! Wow!
At 10:00 EST this morning, I closed the comments and counted up the entries. Then, I headed over to the Random Integer Generator at random.org and entered in the data:

Out popped the following numbers:

#31 — Ruth M
#186 — Naomi
#406 — Cindy Marsch
#805 — Heidi
And then I realized we had FIVE winners, not four … so back I went to the random number generator, and out popped:

#48 — Brittany
I have contacted the winners and will be sending them their prizes this coming week. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to Clorox and everyone for participating!
If you weren’t a winner, and still want to try the product, you should be able to find Clorox Disinfecting Wipes at your local grocery store.

Target had these on sale when I was there earlier this week. Not sure if they’re still on sale, but they had a great selection of different styles of containers!

hey, congrats to the winners!
i just wanted to share with y’all who care: clorox still does animal testing. i was a great clorox fan, too, until i found out.

@christine — Just so you know, every product ever made contains a chemical or ingredient that has been tested on animals. There is not a single product out there that hasn’t been. Check out the “safe” labels, you’ll see that they say “the final product wasn’t tested on animals.” They can’t claim that the ingredients or chemicals weren’t tested on animals, because they were.

I was just running out of my other cleaning wipes. What great timing! Thanks again!

In the original article, you said, “I’ve tried other products, and none of them are as convenient or work as well at keeping bacteria at bay.”
How are you determining how well a wipe is keeping bacteria at bay?

@Sparkzy — Odor. I’ve tried other brands and the foul odor doesn’t ever really go away. It goes away with these, well, at least until the cats flick out litter again.

Interesting. At home I’d be tempted to try a spray bottle with water, a little bleach, and some orange cleaner, then wipe with rags or paper towel. However, it’s hard to beat the convenience of the wipes.
At work (healthcare IT) I use the wipes to clean my desk, keyboard, and mouse every other week, or so. I also have a bottle of hand gel on my desk.

I’ve got to agree with Sparkzy about how I’d use something less disposable at home, but use wipes at work. I just saw a huge display of these at Great Canadian SuperStore and they are SO pretty. I had to buy some. I’m fairly frugal, so it’s rare for me to buy something new like this on a whim.
