I love Tripit.

Initially I was challenged to get timezones for my flights in there properly. I decided to try their program to email confirmations to their site and it immediately figured it all out and updated my itineraries.

The itineraries include embedded links to maps of airports, maps of surrounding areas, etc... Having the iPhone app makes it easy to find the actual address of your hotel. Communicating it to the cab driver in Manhattan is another thing altogether.

It's helped on several business trips and I will continue to use it and recommend it.

I'm booking a business trip tomorrow, and I will definitely be trying this service out! If nothing it might save me some paper instead of printing out all the separate confirmations.

Google Calendar is a great resource for planning travel, and I use it for everyday life as well. Your digital life can be as cluttered as your physical life. Unitasking software is no great bargain at any price.

TripIt is the most useful website I have found in past several years. You simply forward them your confirmation emails and it "magically" creates an itinerary that you can easily share with friends and print before your trip.

This sounds really cool. Thanks for letting us know about it.

I am going to try it for my next business trip. That being said I am very skeptical about adding another tool to my life unless it offers a *significant* advantage over other methods. Frankly, this sounds like something you can do on your own. Add the trip to your calendar and keep URL links, PDF document links in the notes field. It's already on your mobile as long as your mobile's calendar syncs with your desktop (which I think most business people who travel already have set up). Is there anything more to it than that?

After reading the reviews on the Trip-it site, the only truly unusual thing they can do is share your trip with others. And maybe adding links to the weather (which I always look up separately) And, getting the timezone changes right - that's always tricky.

We'll see...

Tripit is a great site; I've been using it for almost a year, I think. The best part is that you can send various travel articles you find around the Web to your Tripit itinerary and then sort them through all in one place before you travel (and print out the ones you want to take).
