Unitasker Wednesday: iSleep USB pillow

isleep_scAll Unitasker Wednesday posts are jokes — we don’t want you to buy these items, we want you to laugh at their ridiculousness. Enjoy!

Taking a nap at one’s desk isn’t the easiest thing to do, but taking a quick desk nap just got easier with the iSleep USB pillow. To use, just plug this inflatable pillow into an available USB port on your computer. (That is if you have a USB port to spare.)

The inflatable USB pillow inflates when you shut your laptop and then deflates when you open the laptop back up. The days of using a bunched up sweater or coat for a pillow are long gone. You can now catch a snooze in style with this inflatable option. Nap time has never been so hi-tech.

LOL – that just proves the statement “Just because you have an idea it doesn’t make it a good one!”

This is seriously for real? Aiee.

That just looks so uncomfortable. I’ll stick with my jacket.

I want a USB powered hologram device that will cloak my sleeping and let it appear to co-workers that I am actually awake and working. That is a USB device I’d buy.

I can tell you from experience that sleeping in this position is uncomfortable and does not get ANY papers graded. Plus there’s the drool factor.

Generally I use the wrist rest for a pillow but occasionally it’s the space key.

Sorry! I’d never buy one, but I think it’s awesome! But I’d love the additional feature of a silent alarm that dings in my ear to let me know my boss is approaching.

A usb fan to help evaporate the drool at my desk would have been a (slightly) better idea.

I wonder if this also works like an airbag and inflates if your computer crashes? ;)

This looks too “planned” to be effective if the boss walks in. I’d suggest your jacket and one of the following:

10 Excuses For Sleeping At Work

    1. ”They told me at the blood bank this might happen.”

    2. ”This is just a 15 minute power-nap like they raved about in that time management course you sent me to.”

    3. ”Whew! Guess I left the top off the Wite-Out. You probably got here just in time!”

    4. ”I wasn’t sleeping! I was meditating on the mission statement and envisioning a new paradigm.”

    5. ”I was testing my keyboard for drool resistance.”

    6. ”I was doing a highly specific Yoga exercise to relieve work-related stess. Do you discriminate toward people who practice Yoga?”

    7. ”Dang! Why did you interrupt me? I had almost figured out a solution to our biggest problem.”

    8. ”The coffee machine is broken…”

    9. ”Someone must have put decaf in the wrong pot…”

    10. ”…..in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

    @ Suzi

I love the list of excuses!

Those excuses are hilarious. Alas, I work for myself. I don’t think the boss will buy it.

Anyway, would the pillow cease to be a unitasker if it could also be a USB whoopie cushion? What if there were accompanying software that could detect you were nodding off and then deploy before you faceplant?

    i think it’s cool! hehehe
    and funny
it’d never buy it, but kinda fun gift…
although yes, it will lead to clutter….

    It’s no realworld produkt:
The pillow is a students-project. The site belongs to the university of art in Berlin(DE). No chance to buy this one.
