Workspace of the Week: Stylish simplicity
This week’s Workspace of the Week is Sadida’s simplified space:
One of the reasons I love this office is its cable containment. A single wrapped cord leading from the desk to the outlet is a thing of beauty. I also like the shelf that sits behind the monitor and holds what looks like a scanner or printer. The “simplify” sign is calming, too. This office features the basics, and not a lot else — which is wonderfully minimalistic. Thank you, Sadida, for your submission to our flickr group.
Want to have your own workspace featured in Workspace of the Week? Submit a picture to the Unclutterer flickr pool. Check it out because we have a nice little community brewing there. Also, don’t forget that workspaces aren’t just desks. If you’re a cook, it’s a kitchen; if you’re a carpenter, it’s your workbench.

Nice looking, but it’s too dark…I hope the lights were off or the sun was down when the pic was taken =\

Boy, those rhinos and that “Simplify” sign do muss up the view. Too much clutter here!

This looks nice, but where is the rest of her “stuff”..I could make my workspace look this good….for a photo…but in 15 mins it would be a mess…..

I love the desk itself – very nice color.

It’s pretty, but I think it seems inefficient… too much time would be wasted going to get whatever you need to work. There aren’t even any pens or pencils there.

I think this may be my favorite workspace yet. Yes, there aren’t any pens or desk essentials out, but that’s the way I like my workspace. Beautiful.

Serene and tranquil…

Can we see a Workspace of the Week that is actually being used for work? I love the sleek tidiness of these, but I’d like to see one with project flow as part of the design concept; one that has the “stuff” storage as part of the design.

I am most impressed with the single cord. Can someone tell me how this happens? I want it.

The single cord appears to be multiple cords wrapped together with cable tubing or wrap. You can get it at most home improvement stores, or places like radio shack. I have some to keep things organized, and keep kitty teeth away from the cords!
